1892 Hall Braille Writer

The original Hall braille writer was modeled on the typewriter and was the first successful mechanical point writer. Frank Haven Hall, Superintendent of the Illinois Institution for the Blind, introduced his invention to the public on May 27, 1892, at Jacksonville, Illinois.
